Celebrating Pride in San Diego's Little Italy

Pride: the promotion of the self-affirmation, dignity, equality and increased visibility of the LGBTQA+ community. In commemoration of 1969’s Stonewall Riots, annual Pride celebrations happen nation-wide so that gay, lesbian, transgender and allies alike come together in affirming support of one thing we all know to be true; Love is Love!
With last year’s lockdown behind us and a light at the end of the pandemic tunnel, we’re all anxious to celebrate Pride as it should be celebrated – together and in joyful harmony.
Plan a Pride-themed meal at one of Little Italy’s neighborhood restaurants! Nolita Hall offers a fabulous brunch menu that’ll have the Pride Crew happy and full. Show your appreciation for your support system and visit Café Gratitude for a delicious vegan bites and sips. Queenstown Public House’s menu is waiting for you and your friends to try everything – just be sure each seat is fit a for a #Queen and make your reservations ahead of time.
Late spring is in full swing, so make it a PROUD puppy playdate at the Little Italy Dog Park, followed by a coffee or treat date at one of the area’s pet-friendly cafés, like James Coffee Co. Or make it a meal date and visit Landini’s Pizzeria where they have some complimentary treats for the puppies, too.
To top off your visit to Little Italy, make your last stop at Frost Me Cafe & Bakery to treat yourself to a rainbow assortment of cupcakes and baked goods. Because we all deserve something as sweet and colorful as you.
